19 years earlier, today marks the release of Shaheed-e-Azam, a movie based on the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh directed by Sukumar Nair. It stars Sonu Sood who began his cinematic career with this movie.
Sonu Sood is an actor, film producer, humanitarian and philanthropist. He has been seen in movies such as Dabangg, Entertainment, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Jodha Akbar, Singh is Kinng among others. He has worked in movies in tamil, telugu and hindi.
Earlier today, filmfare posted about his first movie on Instagram remembering the beginning of Sonu’s long journey in the Cinemas. They captioned it, “19 years ago, on this date, actor #SonuSood made his debut in Bollywood with Shaheed-E-Azam which is based on the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.”
The actor also remembered this special day and posted about it on twitter. He said that Shaheed-e-Azam will always remain special to him.

Sonu Sood has emerged as a hero to thousands of Indians during the Covid-19 pandemic. He has done some great work for the people. He has arranged gas, masks, food and other necessary equipments for battling Covid-19 for patients in dire need.
He also recently launched Sonu Sood Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme, he provides financial aid to merit students who lack proper funding to support their education.
