A foreign delegation of 24 nations have arrived in Srinagar for a 2 day visit to the valley of peace. It includes nations such as Chile, Brazil, Cuba, Bolivia, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, EU, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Bangladesh, Malawi, Eritrea, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan.
After the arrival of the envoys were welcomed in a warm and a traditional manner & then they were driven to Magam block of Budgam district where they were seen interacting with the locals.
The visit comes after India on Feb 05 announced the restoration of 4G network services in the valley after a 18 months ban when the Central government decided to revoked Article 370 which granted the state a special status.
Previously in 2019, a 27 member party of European Parliament had visited the state after they received an invitation from Delhi think tank when they were seen expressing their curiosity to visit Kashmir to understand how terrorism had been affecting India.
