39 Indian citizens have been stuck on two ships in China for several months now. Crew change is prohibited due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Indian authorities are in touch with the Chinese to make sure our citizens are well accommodated while they are there. The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed that the bulk cargo vessel MV Jag Anand consisting of 23 people has been anchored near Jingtang port since June and the other, MV Anastasia is anchored in Caofeidian port since September.
