5 foods to eat, if you are fasting in Navratri 2023

The first day of Shardiya Navratri is October 15. Many people choose to fast for nine days during this time. During the fast, it’s crucial to prioritise your health in addition to your beliefs.

Here are some of the foods, we can have during Navratri fast:

1. Fruits

Throughout the nine days of Navratri, any fruit may be eaten. Actually, in order to maintain the body hydrated throughout the fasting period, we should increase the amount of fruits in our diet.

2. Herbs and spices

This time of year is perfect for consuming herbs and spices. However, rock salt can be used as a substitute for table salt when preparing cuisine.

3. Veggies

During the festival, a variety of veggies are available for consumption. During this period, people should refrain from eating onions and garlic.

Regular wheat and rice should be avoided during the Navratri fast. To make preparations, use rajgire ka atta, singhare ka atta, or kuttu ka atta. One of the important foods eaten during the celebration is Sabudana. Additionally, it’s used to make vadas, papad, and khichdi.
