5% Indian users quit app as Whatsapp changes its Privacy Policy

Five percent of Indian users have deleted Whatsapp while 21 percent migrated to alternate platforms after Whatsapp’s new privacy policy and terms of service.

A survey was conducted by an online platform, Localcircles around WhatsApp’s new terms of service. It covered more than 17,000 respondents across the country. A majority of the respondents said that they would not use Whatsapp payment features. Few may also discontinue business chat if the app shared information with Facebook and third parties.

Many users may have already had the Signal and Telegram apps on their phones before the new Whatsapp policy changes are even proposed.
