Shares of Canara Bank jump 9% as company launches QIP

Shares of Canara Bank advanced 9.5% on Tuesday after the public sector bank launched a qualified institutional placement to attract funds from institutional investors. The stock price yesterday closed at Rs 117, hiking today by 9% reaching Rs 128 a piece. The sub-committee fixed the QIP issue at a floor price of Rs 103.50 per equity share. Canara is a nationalised bank headquartered at Bengaluru with a Market capitalisation of Rs 20,283 crore.
