Alaina is the adopted daughter of Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Scott, who now resides in Michigan. Last week, she hitched the knot.
Eminem has long shielded his family from prying eyes, despite his status as a well-known musician. However, the turbulent connection between Slim Shady and his ex-wife that has lasted for decades is not new in the world of news. When they first met, Eminem was 15 and Kim was 13. Kim was visiting a buddy after just leaving a youth home. When he first saw his future bride, Eminem was also at the home of a buddy they shared.
When Kim suddenly became pregnant in 1995, the couple welcomed Hailie, their sole biological daughter, into the world. The two had been dating since they were very young. The rapper can be heard venting his frustration in the song The Slim Shady LP as he struggles to raise a daughter with his girlfriend while pursuing a career in music.
The on-again, off-again romance came to a conclusion in a two-year marriage in 1999. In 2006, they got remarried a second time, but separated soon after. Kim is thought to be residing in Michigan at the moment, and the couple hasn’t made any attempts to patch things up since breaking their marriage almost two decades ago.
Despite their separation, the couple was able to successfully co-parent their biological daughter. In the meantime, Dawn, Kim’s twin sister who battled addiction, gave birth to Alaina. Alaina was thus raised primarily by her cousin’s family before being adopted by Eminem and Kim. Stevie Laine, who was born in 2002, is the second adopted kid of Slim Shady and his ex-wife. In 2021, they came out as non-binary and identify with all pronouns.
When Kim was in between her two marriages to Eminem, she gave birth to Stevie with her then-boyfriend Eric Hartter. Alaina, the daughter of Eminem and Kim, wed her husband Matt Moeller on June 9. The caption for a sequence of photos she posted from the wedding day stated, “June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life in this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours.”
Meanwhile. Alaina was fully under the custody of Eminem and his ex-wife, the rapper once said to Rolling Stone. “My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was.”
