After being struck in the head by a phone that a fan had thrown at a concert on Sunday, pop star Bebe Rexha had to be carried off the stage.

The projectile impacted the side of the star’s head as she was giving a performance in New York, causing her to fall to her knees. Later, she was led out of the building while holding her hands to her face and seemed to be in pain.

Fans shouting “that’s assault” could be heard as security pulled a man from the crowd in a video that was shared online. I’m Good (Blue) and Meant to Be are among the singer’s top songs, but she hasn’t commented on the situation yet.

According to her mother, reported by Pop Base, the celebrity underwent medical attention and required three sutures. Rexha’s staff has been approached by the BBC for comment. She had previously played an impromptu rendition of Seasons in response to an audience request and brought an emotional fan from El Salvador on stage to sing I’m Gonna Show You Crazy.

Attending fans voiced their shock at the show’s conclusion. One person tweeted, “I’m still in shock two hours later.” “I witnessed a flying object strike her. Before I noticed her slip, I assumed it was a CD or piece of paper. Another person said, “People were really dressed up and in a good mood because they were going to a concert, but this old man ruined everything.”

“Super unsettling ending to an otherwise great show,” added a third. “I sincerely hope she’s okay”. Fans are increasingly throwing their phones onstage in the hopes that performers will take a selfie and take them back. Harry Styles has even been observed calling the owner’s acquaintances on their cell phones to leave voicemails.

But while performing in Los Angeles, he got struck in the eye by a few Skittles, and he had to spend the rest of the show washing his eye with water. The “love on a stick” hard candy, which is popularly known in that region, was probably thrown in an effort to show someone they were special, but it seriously bothered the singer.

He backed off the runway, stooped over, and asked his set crew for help before turning back to the microphone and cursing the offender. After a childhood fight, he revealed that he only had one good eye, adding: “The other one has just become a little bit more decorative than it was before… Good thing you hit the wrong one.

He stated his plans to punish the fans with a “even longer concert” after regaining his control. He threw a guitar pick into the audience towards the end of the performance and playfully inquired as to if he had hit anyone in the eye.
