Emilia Clarke talks about her first meeting for Marvel’s Secret Invasion, reveals it’s easier keeping spoilers for Marvel than ‘GOT’

Aside from being an excellent actor, one should be a great secret keeper in order to work with Marvel Studios. The statement is true in every situation since the actors often give big spoilers that destroy the fun. Similarly, MCU newbie Emilia Clarke revealed that protecting secrets for her forthcoming Secret Invasion series was far simpler than Game of Thrones.

The Game of Thrones alum, who portrayed Daenerys Targaryen, has had her own experience with leaking secrets from the famous show. Clarke recently said that joining Marvel’s series was easier and made the whole issue much simpler because of her previous gig.

During an interaction with Entertainment Weekly’s Around the Table series, Emilia said that it was “so much easier” to hide spoilers for Secret Invasion than it was for Game of Thrones.“I’ll tell you what, it’s so much easier now because whenever it comes up or people want to ask, you just get to be like, ‘Dude, Marvel. I can’t say anything.’ That’s just what I kept saying over and over again.

The actress added that Marvel’s tight security protocols had already had an influence on her before joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She talked about her first Zoom encounter with Marvel’s security, which left her “terrified.” She said, “I was like, ‘I think a man’s going to come and kill me if I say anything.’” Clarke had taken down her sim vehicles when she clicked her photo in the character in order to avoid being followed by the fans.

Adding about her time from GOT, she said, “I was chatting with [showrunners] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], and they were like, ‘Marvel. We’re just learning from Marvel. Whatever Marvel’s doing, we just want to do that.’ So that became, you don’t print anything.”
