Kesha and Dr. Luke, also known as Lukasz Gottwald, the music producer, have been engaged in a legal battle for several years. The two reached an agreement less than a month before their case was scheduled for a legal trial. Both parties involved have announced their decision on Instagram.
On Thursday, Kesha shared a post on her Instagram account that reads, “Only God knows what happened that night. As I have always said, I cannot recount everything that happened. I am looking forward to closing the door on this chapter of my life and beginning a new one. I wish nothing but peace to all parties involved.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Luke statement reads, “While I appreciate Kesha again acknowledging that she cannot recount what happened that night in 2005, I am absolutely certain that nothing happened. I never drugged or assaulted her and would never do that to anyone. For the sake of my family, I have vigorously fought to clear my name for nearly 10 years. It is time for me to put this difficult matter behind me and move on with my life. I wish Kesha well.”
The lawsuit, which was set to go to trial this summer, was settled by both parties. Their settlement details have not been made public.
Kesha accused Dr. Luke of drugging and sexually assaulting her in October 2014. The singer also alleged that the music producer wanted out of her recording agreement. Dr. Luke, on the other hand, claims that Kesha’s charges are absolutely false. He then sued the singer for defamation and breach of contract.
