Swifties from Midwest packs U.S. Bank Stadium for their icon Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift travelled to Minneapolis on Friday for the first time since last year to perform the first of two concerts on The Eras Tour at U.S. Bank Stadium.

It’s challenging to express the thrill in words. It will undoubtedly be an existential, out-of-body experience, according to Morgan Machaj. “Experiencing her is just going to be such an emotional roller-coaster.” Fans flocked to U.S. Bank Stadium hours before Friday’s performance to see Taylor Swift perform, and lines formed outside the stadium’s gates that extended all the way to the Metro Transit light rail station on South Sixth Street.

Others came from surrounding metro areas like Sioux City, Iowa, or Des Moines, while Julia Bogusz travelled from Chicago, where she was unable to obtain tickets for the previous Eras Tour visit at Soldier Field. To catch a sight of Swift, Larissa Unseth travelled from the sleepy Wisconsin hamlet of Cashton, which is about three hours southeast of the Twin Cities.

“It has poured on us, and the sun has been beaming down on us. It’s enjoyable. After spending several hours in queue outside the stadium, Unseth stated. Oh, she’s absolutely amazing. Allegra Sciacciotta remarked that Allegra’s music “just spans so long and all her songs hit on different things.” She is such an amazing performer.

She was my first CD, and I’ve been listening to her ever since, Clare Stoddart continued. Or, in the words of Morgan Machaj, “It’s the enchantment of growing up with her, and her albums have come out when we’re going through the same things as her. And just how well I could relate to her lyrics. It’s captivating. I simply adore her.

Makenly, a nine-year-old fan who was among the concert’s youngest attendees, claimed that Taylor Swift’s performance was her very first concert. She remarked, “I like that she has a lot of fans and makes nice music.”
