Younger brother of shooter accused of killing Sidhu Moosewala dead in police encounter

Raka, the younger brother of Priyavrat Fauji, a gunman connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and suspected of killed Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala was killed in police encounter in Panipat area. A unit of police from CIA Team Two got into fight with the criminals and that’s when the incident happened.

Around nine o’clock on Friday evening, the clash happened when the police were tracking the criminals driving silver coloured automobile without license plate. The criminals opened fire on the authorities on Dhodpur Mod on Narayana Road, which resulted in retaliation.

One of the criminals was instantly killed, while the another one was shot in leg. Rakesh aka Raka was shot dead while his companion, Praveen aka Sonu Jat was injured in leg and had been brought straight to the civil hospital. However, he was later transferred to Rohtak PGI due to his severe condition.

Rakesh’s elder brother Priyavrat Fauji, who is currently detained in Tihar jail, was earlier a soldier. He left the army in 2015 and teamed up with Lawrence Bishnoi. He was involved in a murder case which garnered lot of media attention. He was detained and sent to Delhi’s Tihar jail.

As per the reports, Fauji still managed his criminal business while being in jail. Just last month, he allegedly extorted Rs 50 lakh from a dairy owner in Panipat.
