PM Modi arrive in Abu Dhabi for day-long visit; To hold meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Saturday, for his day-long official visit. On his arrival, he was greeted by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. PM will be discussing key bilateral issues with Sheikh Nayan in a meeting.

PM Modi reached Abu Dhabi post wrapping up his official visit to France. He termed his France visit as a “memorable” one as he participated in the Bastille Day celebrations, which made it special. He also expressed gratitude to French President Emmanuel Macron and the citizens of the country for their warm welcome and hospitality.

Taking it to his official Twitter handle, PM wrote, ” This France visit was a memorable one. It was made even more special because I got the opportunity to take part in the Bastille Day celebrations. Seeing the Indian contingent get a pride of place in the parade was wonderful. I am grateful to President @EmmanuelMacron and the French people for the exceptional warmth and hospitality.”

While addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra stated that earlier PM Modi and President of UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayadal Nayan, last met in June in Abu Dhabi, when PM halted in UAE while on his return from the G7 summit in Munich.
