Brie Larson reveals why her character ‘Captain Marvel’ has been absent since Avenger’s Endgame

Since Avengers: Endgame, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel aka Carol Denvers, has been missing from MCU projects. Since Endgame, there have been other MCU projects, however, Larson’s Captain Marvel has not made any significant Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos. Fans have come up with numerous possibilities to explain Captain Marvel’s absence from MCU projects.

Now, Brie Larson has finally opened up about her character’s absence from MCU films. The actress said, “The way I was able to tap into it and understand it is the concept that Carol kind of became a workaholic, and she lost touch with her heart and with family and friends. That’s certainly something I can relate to.”

Fans believe Carol Denvers, aka Captain Marvel, could have been mentioned in the MCU’s latest television show, Secret Invasion. Secret Invasion star Samuel L. Jackson revealed, “He’s been calling her, and she’s off in galaxies far, far away. She’s like, ‘Fury, why are you calling me? I told you not to use this [number].’ He’s like, ‘You gave it to me, so I’m gonna use it. And I’m calling you because I need your help!”

Brie Larson is returning to her role as Captain Marvel in The Marvels in a non-cameo role. The Marvels is going to debut on November 10, 2023. Marvel even dropped a two-minute teaser to give fans its first look.
