Apple’s new smartphone operating system will be available in beta form this autumn and beta versions are currently available to iOS developer program participants. iOS 17 will not be released for the iPhone X, iPhone 8, or previous iPhone models. Before iOS 17 is officially released to the public, Apple may release a couple of more updates for iOS 16.
On July 12, 2023, the company released the public beta of iOS 17, allowing interested people to test out new features before they are made available to everyone.
