Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, allegedly disclosed her future plans amid her contentious divorce from the “Yellowstone” actor after a judge ordered that the actor will pay her less than half of her chosen amount of monthly child support.
“I will look into the steps I need to take and any schooling I need to do, and I will enter the workforce,” Baumgartner, 49, stated in court last week, as reported by People.
In July, Costner, 68, was tentatively ordered to make monthly payments of $129,755 to the former handbag designer for their three children, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14 and Grace, 13.
However, Baumgartner, who filed for divorce from Costner in May after 18 years of marriage, allegedly stated in prior legal documents that the six-figure sum would still be “insufficient” and would lead to the children not enjoying the same lifestyle with each parent.
Baumgartner reportedly stated in court on Thursday that Costner should cough up more in child support because a lavish lifestyle “is in their DNA at this point.”
“It’s an experience,” she claimed, according to People, before calling the family home a “community.” “We create whatever we can dream up in here,” she added.
In the meantime, Baumgartner is reported to be beginning the new chapter of her life in a $40,000-a-month rental home in Montecito, California.
