Kanye West sued by ex-employee over unsafe working conditions

Kanye West has been sued for alleged labor violations. The labour violations include having employees sleep in “makeshift conditions” in an unfinished Malibu house.

As per documents, “(His employee) was sleeping in makeshift conditions, finding empty spaces on the ground and using his coat as a makeshift bedding. These sleeping arrangements were near open insulation. (He) did not have access to a proper bed or comfortable sleeping environment”.

Tony Saxon, the plaintiff in the civil litigation against Kanye, states that he began working for the rapper in September 2021 as “a full-time security and a live-in caretaker”. Tony adds that Kanye “utilized him for construction-related tasks.”

Thin blankets and pads are laid out on the ground as sleeping quarters in images obtained from a source. The bedding is placed on top of grey (seemingly concrete slabs) next to floor-to-ceiling windows. His food and water are on the floor close to the bed. Furthermore, his personal belongings are left out without sufficient storage. A picture of a coworker also suggests that Tony was not alone in this alleged treatment.

According to the source, the unnamed coworker is seen resting on a bed on top of similar flooring. However, he does not have blankets and relies on some cloth to lay his head in place of a pillow.

His bedding is placed next to a big ladder that looms over him and other work items surrounding the setup. The man appears to be wearing black pants, a camo jacket and trainers while he sleeps.

In addition to horrible working conditions, Tony is alleging retaliation for refusing to go along with dangerous demands from Kanye.
