Billy Miller passed away at 43: ‘The Young and the Restless’ star dies two days before birthday

Billy Miller, an actor who won a Daytime Emmy and was well known for his roles on the US soap The Young and the Restless and General Hospital, has passed away at the age of 43.

His manager, Marnie Sparer, stated Miller “was struggling with manic depression when he died” in a statement to Variety.

Two days before his 44th birthday, the actor passed away on Friday in Austin, Texas.

Miller, who was born in Oklahoma and raised in Texas, tried in modeling before getting his big break in daytime television in the 2007–2008 season of the ABC serial All My Children as Richie Novak.

He portrayed Billy Abbott on CBS’s The Young and the Restless from 2008 to 2014, appearing in over 700 episodes and receiving three Daytime Emmys, including one for best lead actor in a drama series and two for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series.

Miller joined the cast of General Hospital in 2014, portraying Jason Morgan and Drew Cain. He was a show regular until 2019.

Miller has starred in a few episodes of the US legal drama Suits, as well as ten episodes of Apply TV+’s Truth Be Told. Clint Eastwood’s 2014 military drama American Sniper and 2016’s Urban Cowboy are among his movie credits. Miller’s last role, according to IMDB, was on the crime drama NCIS.
