On Friday, The Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton announced her split from husband Gordon.
“Like all marriages, ours has had its ups and downs,” Mia told People. “At this time, Gordon and I are separated, but my family is my number one priority, and I am committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure we are okay.”
The reality star, 38 also added that she and Gordon “ask that you respect our privacy and give us the time and space to figure things out.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac will feature Mia and Gordon’s familial issues in its forthcoming 8th season. Mia admits in the season’s trailer that she previously “obtained a divorce lawyer” during a difficult time in their marriage. Mia also reveals to co-star Ashley Darby in the trailer that she “might” have married Gordon for the money.
Gordon, 70, and Mia, 70, hitched in 2012. They have a son, Jeremiah, 8, and a daughter, Juliana, 6. They also have one kid each from previous relationships and are grandparents to four children from Gordon’s family.
The Real Housewives of Potomac returns in November with new episodes.
