Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson separated after more than four years of marriage.
As per the plaintiff, “irreconcilable differences” are the reason for the split. Jodie has filed for divorce in the Superior Court of Los Angeles.
Jodie has demanded joint custody of the couple’s 3-year-old daughter Juno, according to documents filed by celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. She has, however, taken spousal support off the table for both herself and her husband.
Furthermore, the couple’s marriage lacks a prenup.
In the documents, the date of separation is listed as September 13.
During Joshua’s birthday celebration in 2018, the two met and hit it off from there. They fell madly in love so quickly that they got engaged a few months later. Even before many people found out they were dating, they decided to be married in 2019 and got a wedding license from the Beverly Hills Courthouse.
The couple had their baby Juno in April 2020.
Both celebs have previously praised one another in several interviews.
Jodie stated to PEOPLE in April 2021 how fortunate they were to have found each other.
“I think it’s really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and so loving,” said the Murder Mystery 2 actress. She added, “We’re so similar in so many ways. We’re like mirrors for each other. And I just really love that human being.”
