After the COVID-19 fallout, China’s economy set to overtake USA’s earlier than expected

China’s economy was the first to be affected by the COVID-19 blow, but it has recovered quickly, according to government data. China’s economy is set to overtake the U.S. faster than what was previously anticipated, according to the Centre for Economics and Business Research.

The world’s biggest and second-biggest economies are to trade places in 2028, five years earlier than expected a year ago, it said on Saturday.
