Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ film to be released for streaming in December, with three extra songs

Taylor Swift made her big-screen debut in October with her concert film, The Eras Tour. With the film directed by Sam Wrench, the Shake It Off hitmaker broke box office records, grossing over $249 million worldwide. It broke the Guinness World Record for the most-watched concert film of all time. Fans have been eagerly awaiting its availability for streaming since its theatrical release. The wait is now over, as Swift has a big announcement for her fans.

On Monday, November 27, the 33-year-old singer took to her Instagram account and released a short clip with a message for her fans. She said that The Eras Tour film will be available for streaming online from next month. “Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” Swift wrote.

Her post, however, had a surprise as she announced that three extra songs will be featured in the extended version of the film, which is scheduled to be released on her birthday. She added, “Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13.”
