RBI issued Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2020-21 has been opened for subscription from today and will close on January 01, 2021. The price has been fixed at Rs. 5000 and a discount of Rs. 50 per gram will issued on the nominal value to investors applying online & choosing the digital mode of transaction.
The bonds will be sold through banks, post offices and stock exchange NSE & BSE. The scheme was launched in November 2015 and has collected Rs. 9,652.78 crore so far by 37 tranches.
