The Hyderabad based pharmaceutical company, Bharat Biotech revealed that it has successfully managed to recruit 23000 volunteers for the trial. And now it plans to achieve its goal of recruiting 26000 people to volunteer for Phase 3 of clinical trial of COVAXIN all across India. In a company released statement the Managing Director, Suchitra Ella thanked the volunteers who participated in the trials. The SEC has approved the Bharat Biotech vaccine to be used as an emergency vaccination.
