MiG-29 fighter plane Crashes in Rajasthan’s Barmer

During a regular nighttime training exercise, an Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-29 fighter plane crashed on Monday night nearby Barmer. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage, and the pilot safely exited the aircraft.

An IAF statement on social networking platform X (formerly Twitter) stated that the aircraft’s mid-flight meeting with a “critical technical snag” was the cause of the disaster. The statement reaffirmed that the pilot is uninjured and that the incident will be looked at by a Court of Inquiry.

According to a  report, Barmer Collector Nishant Jain, SP Meena, and other top police inspected the crash site.Barmer Superintendent of Police, Narendra Meena, confirmed the crash, stating, “The plane crashed tonight in Barmer, away from a populated area.”

According to Meena, precipitation near the crash site hampered firefighting operations .He added that the site is in a difficult terrain, which has delayed the arrival of fire tenders.
