The trailer for Nicole Kidman’s highly awaited new film has been released! In Babygirl, the Academy Award-winning actress plays a successful businesswoman who becomes involved in a risky affair with a much younger intern, played by Harris Dickinson from Triangle of Sadness. It’s directed by Halina Reijn.
The trailer begins with Nicole’s first contact with Harris’ character, when she sees him outside the workplace caressing an aggressive dog. She is in a high position and is scared by the young intern’s confidence, describing her as a ‘power-hungry personality.’ The two of them soon have an affair, which threatens to wreck both her personal (the trailer shows her husband, played by Antonio Banderas) and professional lives.
Babygirl had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last month, and it garnered a resounding reception. Nicole won the renowned Best Actress prize there, putting her in a great position to receive an Oscar consideration. Director Halina Reijn accepted the award on Kidman’s behalf and provided a statement from her.
