The grand pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are now immortalized in Valley of Gods, a documentary streaming on JioCinema. Held earlier this year in Jamnagar, Gujarat, the three-day extravaganza brought together Indian culture, arts, and Vedic traditions in a lavish tribute to the couple’s love.
Nita Ambani, speaking in the documentary’s trailer, shared her heartfelt connection to Jamnagar, saying, “I wanted to celebrate our roots and pay tribute to our arts and culture.” The documentary captures not only the opulence but also the soul of Indian heritage.
The pre-wedding bash, held in the first week of March, featured a host of Bollywood stars. Celebrities like Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal performed aarti alongside the Ambani family. Iconic figures such as Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and even international guest Bill Gates made appearances.
The celebrations included unique events like ‘An Evening in Everland’, a jungle-themed party at Vantara animal rescue centre, a carnival called ‘Mela Rouge’, and a grand ‘Maha Aarti’. Following this, an international cruise also served as a pre-wedding event.
The couple’s wedding, held at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, featured three-day festivities including Shubh Vivah, Shubh Aashirwad, and Mangal Utsav. Valley of Gods offers an inside look at these once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.
