Bomb Threats on Three Vistara Flights Declared False

Three international flights operated by Vistara airline, which received bomb threats on Friday (October 18), have been confirmed as hoaxes on Saturday, officials reported on Saturday. One of the affected aircraft was diverted to Frankfurt as a precautionary measure, while the other two completed their journeys without incident.

According to a Vistara spokesperson, the three flights, which were en route to London, Paris, and Hong Kong from Delhi, received security threats on social media. As per protocol, all relevant authorities were immediately alerted. “Vistara flight UK17 from Delhi to London was diverted to Frankfurt for safety checks. The aircraft landed safely, and after thorough inspection, it was cleared to continue its journey,” the airline said. The flight later landed in London at 11:40 p.m. local time.

Similarly, flight UK21 to Paris landed safely at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The aircraft was taken to the isolation bay for security checks, and it was later cleared to resume operations.

The threats have been deemed hoaxes after investigations, but the airline emphasized that passenger safety remains its top priority. Relevant authorities are continuing their investigations into the source of the false threats.
