Many of the city’s youngsters dressed up as frightening as they could and gathered at Nandan on Monday night to celebrate Halloween. Presented by the charity Spondon, the fourth Halloween costume competition saw witches and ghosts in attendance this year, complete with extravagant makeup and costumes.
Wearing a variety of inventive costumes that featured not only classic ghosts and witches but also other eerie characters, participants displayed their originality and flair. Everyone gave it their all by dressing up and showing off their individuality, which captured the essence of the Halloween celebration.
Atmajyoti Mitra, the event’s originator and organiser, spoke on the competition, saying, “This is the fourth year we are hosting this competition.” This time, 14 people took part. The competition is gaining popularity, and we intend to hold an even more elaborate event the next year.
