The franchise, with five IPL titles, has retained key players: Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma, aiming to bounce back from a challenging 2024 season where they finished at the bottom of the table.

Hardik Pandya, who took over MI’s captaincy from Rohit Sharma, expressed his loyalty and deep connection to the franchise, stating, “My journey started here… everything I have achieved in my life has been part of Mumbai Indians.” Despite a turbulent 2024 season, Pandya highlighted the team’s unity, noting, “We are five fingers but one fist… we’re going with all guns blazing.”

With these retentions, MI aims to build on its experienced foundation as it seeks to reclaim its dominant status in the IPL.
