Apple releases 14.4 update to squash security bugs

Apple has released the new 14.4 update for iOS platform which fixes the 3 main vulnerabilities which may have been exploited by the hackers.

  1. Bug was in the kernel, which affected the operating system of iPhone, iPad & iPod users which may have allowed a virus to gain access to these systems
  2. 2 more bugs were detected in WebKit which is used in Safari’s browser and which allowed hackers to run malicious code on iOS .

There is no information on to what extent the exploit has been done but the company has asked it’s users to update the system at the earliest.

This is not the first that the Apple devices have been compromised and the company has seen it’s fair share of the virus attacks, information steal & bugs in various applications.
