United Arab Emirates (UAE) Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has received a dose of a COVID-19 vaccine developed by China’s pharma giant Sinopharm. He took to Twitter to share the news along with a photo of him getting the shot of vaccine. Last month, the Gulf state authorised the emergency use of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine in order to protect health workers and ensure their safety. The vaccine is currently in the third stage of trials and has so far been found safe, local media reported.
