Tendulkar, Kohli and many more celebrities join hashtag campaign against Rihanna’s tweet

Various current and former Indian cricketers and celebrities tweeted in support of the Indian government using the hashtags #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. These hashtags were issued officially by the Ministry of External Affairs in a statement.

Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and Hardik Pandya, and many others took to Twitter to show their support for the Indian government. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, filmmaker Karan Johar, producer Ekta Kapoor, and singer Kailash Kher, also posted using these hashtags.

The Twitter fiasco began as soon as international celebrities like Rihanna, Greta Thunberg, Mia Khalifa questioned the Indian government’s support to the farmers. Several Twitter users have blamed the international celebs for being part of a ‘paid conspiracy.’
