Gabriel Macht defends Meghan Markle, talks ‘Suits’ reboot

Gabriel Macht, who worked alongside Meghan Markle on Suits for several years, has nothing but positive memories of their time together, which contrasts with the negative portrayal of Meghan in the media. While Meghan faced accusations of bullying from royal aides after transitioning to her role as a senior working royal, Macht has always regarded her as professional and compassionate. Despite not having many scenes together on Suits, Macht fondly remembers Meghan’s great laugh and the laughs they shared on set. He emphasizes her commitment to charity work, stating that it’s “making a dent,” which speaks to her character beyond the tabloids.

Macht’s perspective is aligned with other Suits cast members, like Patrick J. Adams and Abigail Spencer, who have publicly defended Meghan. They have all insisted that the allegations about her bullying were untrue, and they continue to support her, noting that Meghan was always professional and kind during their time working together.

On a different note, Macht’s cameo in the Suits spinoff, Suits: L.A., has sparked interest in the potential for other former castmates to join. While there is no definite confirmation, Macht mentioned that it depends on the storyline and how the characters can support the new ensemble cast. As for a full Suits reboot, Macht says it’s not in the cards right now but also expressed openness to the idea, acknowledging that “never say never.”

Meghan, however, has made it clear she won’t return to acting. She shut down any possibility of returning to the entertainment industry, emphasizing her dedication to public service and her work with the Archewell Foundation alongside Prince Harry. Her focus remains on making an impact through charitable efforts, leaving her acting career firmly behind her after Suits concluded.
