India’s Daily News and Analysis puts the venues to be the most expensive with the Christian ceremony taking place at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, the couple booked the five star hotel for four nights paying around 67 lakhs per night.
Catering to the pre-wedding festivities alone cost them another 45 lakhs with parties like the Hindu Haldi, Sangeet and Mehendi which also included the dance performances, musical events and traditions like the henna coming to a total of 30 lakhs.
Now that was all with the prep, the outfits at the wedding that brought life to everything were obviously not anything cheap especially with America’s most legendary designers Ralph Lauren custom making the bride and the groom’s outfits for their big day. There’s no putting a price on that! Adding in the additional flowers, wooden carved invites and extras like fireworks, transportation and snacks, sources put a grand close to the total to a whopping – 3 crores! That digit does not surprise us as the wedding had eyes gawking at every little detail.
