Demi Moore’s alleged snub of Kylie Jenner at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards turned out to be nothing more than a misunderstanding, despite a viral moment that sparked controversy. In a video from the ceremony, Moore is seen hugging Elle Fanning and chatting with her A Complete Unknown costar Timothée Chalamet, while bypassing Jenner, who attended as Chalamet’s date. This led to speculation on social media that Moore was intentionally ignoring Jenner, but Moore’s daughter, Tallulah Willis, quickly set the record straight.
On her Instagram Stories, Tallulah, 30, clarified that there was no “snub.” She explained that her mom and Elle had spent New Year’s together, and it made sense for Moore to connect with her after Elle’s win. Tallulah also pointed out that her mom was in a state of “shock and delight,” moving through a room full of well-wishers, and would have gladly acknowledged Kylie had she seen her.
Tallulah expressed how proud she was of her mother’s Best Actress win for The Substance, noting the genuine surprise on Moore’s face when her name was called. She said it brought tears to her eyes and added that the world witnessed Moore’s authenticity in that moment. In a separate post, Tallulah praised her mom as her “queen and muse.”
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, who have been dating since at least April 2023, attended the event together. Chalamet was nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.
