Timothée Chalamet is set to host Saturday Night Live (SNL) on January 25, marking his third time on the iconic sketch comedy show. The 29-year-old Oscar nominee has previously hosted the show twice, in December 2020 and November 2023. This time, Chalamet will also take on the role of the musical guest, a major milestone as he becomes the first non-professional singer in 30 years to do so.
Chalamet has already made his mark on SNL with viral sketches, including the Rap Roundtable with Pete Davidson and the Museum of Hip-Hop Panel. He has also famously appeared as pop star Troye Sivan. However, this time, Chalamet is bringing a new layer to his performance. Drawing from his role as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, for which he earned nominations for the 2025 Golden Globe, Critics Choice Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, he might incorporate his musical talents into his performance. Chalamet has been honing his skills on guitar and harmonica, preparing for his portrayal of Dylan. Fans are expecting him to bring Dylan’s legendary songs to the stage at Studio 8H.
Chalamet’s critically acclaimed film, directed by James Mangold, tells the story of Dylan’s rise in the music world. The film, starring Chalamet alongside Elle Fanning, follows a 19-year-old Bob Dylan in 1961 as he moves to New York City and begins his ascent, forging relationships with music icons along the way.
Before Chalamet takes the stage, rapper GloRilla will make her SNL debut as a musical guest on January 18. The 25-year-old artist, recently nominated for two Grammys for her hit single Yeah Glo!, will bring her energy to the live show.
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC every Saturday, with the January 18 episode featuring GloRilla as the musical guest.
