Candace Owens says Blake Lively is innocent and Justin Baldoni is innocent

Candace Owens has recently jumped into the ongoing legal drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, offering her take on the situation with a controversial theory involving Ryan Reynolds. According to Owens, an anonymous insider on the set of It Ends With Us revealed that Reynolds visited the set, reviewed dailies, and wasn’t happy with something in the script. This allegedly led to an argument between Reynolds and Lively, with the actor supposedly pressuring the WME talent agency to drop Baldoni as a client. Owens further speculated that Reynolds’ actions could be driven by insecurity, stemming from his relationships with women much younger than him.

Owens didn’t stop there, drawing a connection between Reynolds’ portrayal of Deadpool‘s character, Nicepool, and Baldoni’s alleged behavior on the It Ends With Us set. She even referenced an incident from Deadpool 2, where Reynolds, in character, reportedly insulted TJ Miller (who played Weasel) in a way that seemed a bit too personal. Owens wrapped up her narrative by calling Reynolds “unhinged,” suggesting that everything was calm on set until Reynolds arrived and allegedly lost his cool.

However, as with much of Owens’ commentary, her claims should be taken with skepticism. Known for her far-right views and outspoken opposition to feminism and LGBTQ+ rights, Owens has built a reputation for stirring controversy. The ongoing legal battle between Lively and Baldoni involves accusations from both sides, with Lively filing a lawsuit in December 2024, accusing Baldoni of misconduct on set. Baldoni responded in January 2025 with a $400 million lawsuit, accusing Lively, Reynolds, and Lively’s publicist of defamation, extortion, and invasion of privacy. Given Owens’ history and the complex nature of the case, it’s tough to say how much truth there is in her claims.
