In an Instagram story, the superstar explained that the tragic events unfolding in the city were affecting her and her team deeply, so she chose to delay the big reveal.

In her post, Beyoncé wrote, “The January 14th announcement will be postponed until a later date due to the devastation caused by the ongoing wildfires around areas of Los Angeles.” She went on to express her concern for the people impacted by the fires, adding, “I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss. We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.”
