Josh Gad is using the release of his memoir, In Gad We Trust: A Tell-Some, to give back to the Los Angeles community, particularly those affected by the recent devastating wildfires. During his appearance on The Today Show on January 14, Gad spoke about the tragic timing of his book’s release, acknowledging the destruction caused by the wildfires.
He shared, “I wish it was a celebratory day… It’s been super tough. I just got in from Los Angeles. It is worse than I think is even imaginable.” Despite the difficult circumstances, Gad is happy that his memoir is now available but expressed his sadness that it coincided with such a challenging time for the city.
In an effort to help those impacted by the fires, Gad announced that he would be donating a portion of his book’s proceeds to organizations supporting wildfire victims. These include the SoCal Fire Fund, Best Friends Animal Society, and Baby2Baby. He also encouraged people to contribute, no matter how small the donation, emphasizing that even $10 can make a difference during such a crisis. “There’s so many people, animals, [and] babies affected by this tragedy,” Gad said, urging his audience to help in any way they can.
