Justin Baldoni seeks evidence from Disney after accusing Ryan Reynolds of using the Nicepool character to mock him amid legal disputes with Blake Lively

Justin Baldoni is calling on Disney and Marvel Studios to preserve all documents and communications related to Ryan Reynolds’ character, Nicepool, from the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. According to Baldoni’s legal team, these materials will be crucial for his defense in an ongoing lawsuit filed by Blake Lively, who has accused him of sexual harassment and retaliation.

In a letter sent on January 7 to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger, Baldoni’s attorneys requested that all documents concerning the creation of the Nicepool character be retained. Baldoni claims that Nicepool, a character known for making feminist remarks, was designed in a way that mocked and intimidated him. He points specifically to scenes where Nicepool addresses Lively’s character, Ladypool, and alleges that the character’s creation was meant to ridicule and bully him.

This legal action is part of a larger conflict between Baldoni and Lively, with Baldoni denying Lively’s accusations. He is also suing The New York Times for defamation, related to claims about comments he allegedly made about Lively’s body after childbirth. As the case continues to unfold, Lively has garnered support from celebrities like author Colleen Hoover, while Baldoni has been dropped by his agency. The battle between the two continues to escalate, with both sides preparing for a potentially lengthy legal fight.
