Travis Kelce recently revealed that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has been actively encouraging him to continue playing football, despite reports suggesting he might be considering retirement. In an appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show on January 15, Kelce shared that Swift, in particular, has been supportive, urging him to enjoy the game. “She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he said, adding that Swift enjoys cheering for him at Arrowhead Stadium, where she frequently attends games.
While Kelce has acknowledged the potential for a career reevaluation, he emphasized that his love for the game and his individual success continue to drive him. “I love everything that I’m doing in this building,” he said, noting his excitement for the playoffs and the remainder of the season. Despite having a slightly quieter year compared to his usual performance, Kelce remained focused on playing well and enjoying his time with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The tight end also expressed his commitment to continuing as long as he’s playing good football and enjoying the experience, saying, “You’ll see me in a Chiefs uniform.” Although retirement rumors surfaced, Kelce has made it clear that he’s not planning to walk away from the game anytime soon, especially with Swift’s support and his own passion for football.
