Alabama Barker has addressed and dispelled rumors surrounding her recent hospitalization for nicotine withdrawal after reports surfaced on December 30.
In a now-deleted Instagram Stories post, the 19-year-old daughter of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler clarified that the incident occurred “some time ago” and not recently. “I was there for about three hours before being discharged,” she explained. She also noted that she was given a nicotine patch and an inhaler but urged people to stop spreading rumors.
TMZ had reported that Alabama called 911 after experiencing anxiety caused by abrupt nicotine withdrawal, leading to her hospitalization. However, she did not confirm or deny whether vaping or quitting vaping was the cause.
Meanwhile, Alabama recently shared her Christmas gifts in a social media post, showing off luxury items like a Balenciaga pink rhinestone bag, multiple designer purses, and a custom diamond necklace from her sister, Atiana De La Hoya. She also received jewelry from her father.
On the music front, Alabama released her first music video, Vogue, on December 13. The video features Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, with scenes of Alabama strutting down a runway and fanning herself with $100 bills.
Reports suggest that Alabama’s nicotine withdrawal may have been linked to her efforts to protect her vocal cords for her music career.
