The Black Eyed Peas have canceled their Las Vegas residency

The Black Eyed Peas have canceled their debut Las Vegas residency, Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Residency, citing “current circumstances” without providing further details. The residency was initially announced for February 2024 and was planned to take place at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, with 15 dates spread across February, March, and May. The group expressed regret on Instagram, reassuring fans that ticket refunds would be processed automatically and that they would keep followers updated on future performances.

Speculation had been swirling for months about the possibility of the residency struggling with ticket sales, which might have contributed to the decision. The residency was also set to introduce a new dynamic to the group, with the addition of Vida, an artificial intelligence member who would interact with both the band and the audience. Will.i.am had discussed the concept of Vida in a previous interview, emphasizing the AI’s role as an actual interactive member rather than just a hologram.

The cancellation has left fans disappointed, but the group assured them that they are looking forward to future shows.
