Richard Gere’s Wife Alejandra Silva Praises Him For Being ‘Devoted And Present Father

Richard Gere’s wife, Alejandra Silva, has no hesitation in expressing her admiration for her husband, especially when it comes to his role as a father. During a recent interview with Elle España, Silva praised Gere for being a “devoted and present father,” sharing a glimpse of their family life in Spain.

Silva fondly described Gere’s hands-on approach to parenting, noting, “Richard is a very devoted and present father. He loves to read them stories. It seems like an idyllic photo, but it’s true. He’s a great dad.” She also spoke about their roles in the household, revealing that while Gere doesn’t cook, she handles the meals. However, during those times, Gere can be found playing the guitar, adding a musical touch to their home life.

In the same interview, Gere opened up about the fulfillment he has found since moving to Spain with Silva and their children. He shared, “The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum,” reflecting the couple’s sense of happiness and contentment. Gere explained, “(Alejandra), because she is at home and I because, if she is happy, I am happy,” emphasizing how their mutual happiness contributes to their overall well-being.

Gere and Silva, who married in 2018 after dating since 2014, are parents to two young children: Alexander, 5, and James, 4. Silva also has an 11-year-old son, Albert, from a previous relationship. Additionally, Gere has a 24-year-old son, Homer, with his second wife, Carey Lowell.

Their life in Spain seems to be full of warmth and family bonds, with Gere’s dedication to his children and Silva’s joyful comments about their life together painting a picture of a peaceful, fulfilling home.
