Andy Cohen knows how to set the record straight when rumors about him start to swirl. Recently, he addressed a rumor that he was trying to bring Lisa Vanderpump back to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. During the January 21 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Cohen took the time to clear things up. He explained that the rumor was false, stating, “It was repeated all over the place that I’m trying to get Lisa Vanderpump back on The [Real] Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
He went on to express his deep admiration for Lisa, saying, “Let me restate my abject love for Lisa Vanderpump,” but added that he had no idea where the speculation had come from. Cohen further shared that he didn’t see her returning to the show, mentioning that Vanderpump had “got her own thing going on.” He also pointed out that he didn’t think she would be a good fit with the current cast.
Cohen mentioned that Vanderpump and a few of the ladies, like Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, and Garcelle Beauvais, simply aren’t looking to interact with each other anymore. He reflected on the fact that he missed the friendship between Vanderpump and Richards, which had taken a hit during Season 9. After their falling out, Vanderpump decided to leave the show, as per People magazine.
While their relationship has been rocky, Cohen said that when Richards and Vanderpump do bump into each other in public, it seems like they’ve moved past the “shade” and can now exchange pleasantries—something he appreciates.
For context, Vanderpump was an OG cast member for nine seasons of RHOBH before leaving in 2019, as People magazine reported.
