Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has stepped into the world of music with his first single, Mahakal Chalo, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Released ahead of Maha Shivratri, the song features Akshay singing alongside musicians Palash Sen and Vikram Montrose.
Following the release, Palash Sen took to social media to express his admiration for Akshay Kumar in an emotional note, calling it an “open letter of appreciation.” He wrote, “An open letter to Akshay Kumar… who is far from Hera Pheri in real life and the most Welcome-ing actor I’ve known.”
Palash highlighted their shared humble beginnings, stating that despite Akshay’s superstar status, he remains a “middle-class Delhi boy” who made it in the film industry through sheer talent and hard work. “That is who I am too, in the music business,” he added.
Palash also shared his struggles in Bollywood, where he has often felt overlooked. However, Akshay’s support during their collaboration left a lasting impression. “You were giving me support no one from Bollywood has in years,” he wrote, praising Akshay’s humility, professionalism, and sharp sense of humor.
Responding to the heartfelt message, Akshay Kumar commented, “Music, passion, and hard work bas yahi chalta hai, aur yahi chalna chahiye. Mahadev brought us together, and I hope Mahakal Chalo becomes a journey for all who listen.”
