Chhaava Becomes Vicky Kaushal’s Biggest Hit, Surpasses URI at the Worldwide Box Office

Chhaava, Vicky Kaushal’s most recent release, has surpassed Uri: The Surgical Strike, the movie that brought him his initial success, to become the highest-grossing movie of his career.

Chhaava surpassed Uri’s lifetime total of ₹342 crore on its eighth day, surpassing the ₹325 crore milestone and bringing its total worldwide earnings to ₹343 crore. On Friday, its eighth day, Chhaava brought in ₹24 crore nett in India, according to Bollywood Hungama. With this, the movie’s domestic total revenue now stands at ₹249 crore.

Uri brought in ₹244 crore at home. With slightly over $5.3 million collected outside of India in just 8 days, Chhaava has also done well abroad, bringing its total of ₹343 crore globally. This is the biggest hit in Chhava Vicky Kaushal’s career and surpasses Uri: The Surgical Strike’s final gross of ₹342 crore.

Chhaava does not seem to be exhibiting any signs of slowing. The picture did brilliantly in its first week and had a terrific start of the second weekend. If it continues its momentum through Sunday, the picture should be hoping to reach the ₹500-crore mark by its third weekend, if not earlier. The movie would undoubtedly become a hit as a result.

Even on weekdays, Chhaava has surpassed multiple collecting records in Maharashtra, with 97-98% occupancy in a number of venues. According to Sacnilk, Chhaava had 81% occupancy for night shows in Pune even on its second Friday, indicating that the mania is not going away anytime soon.

Vicky Kaushal plays the part of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambjahi Maharaj in the Laxman Utekar-directed biopic Chhaava. In addition to Rashmika Mandanna, Divya Dutta, and Diana Penty in supporting parts, Akshaye Khanna plays Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the movie. Critics gave the movie mixed to excellent reviews, while viewers overwhelmingly praised it.
