Keira Knightley will play the lead character in the upcoming movie adaptation of The Woman in Cabin 10

Keira Knightley is set to lead Netflix’s upcoming thriller The Woman in Cabin 10, bringing her back to the open waters years after her Pirates of the Caribbean days. The film is based on Ruth Ware’s best-selling novel of the same name and promises a suspenseful ride.

The story follows Lo, a travel writer who embarks on a luxury cruise in what seems like the perfect getaway. However, the dream trip takes a dark turn when she becomes convinced that something—or someone—has vanished from the ship. As she desperately tries to prove that a crime has taken place, Lo is met with disbelief, making her quest for the truth even more dangerous.

Joining Knightley in the cast are Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, David Morrissey, Art Malik, Paul Kaye, and more. The film is directed by Simon Stone, known for The Dig (2021) and The Daughter (2015).

Ruth Ware, the author of the novel, expressed her excitement about the adaptation on Instagram, sharing how difficult it was to keep the news a secret. “Knowing that such an incredibly talented group of people are bringing my world to life—it’s a dream come true,” she wrote.

While Netflix has yet to announce a release date, production wrapped in November 2024, meaning fans can expect a gripping, edge-of-your-seat thriller soon.
