White described the upcoming episodes as “epic” and suggested that the past two seasons—set in Hawaii and Italy—were merely a warm-up for what’s coming. “I do feel like the other seasons were a rehearsal for this one,” he explained.
The Emmy-winning creator hinted that Season 3 will explore cultural and personal struggles, reflecting on moments when people, overwhelmed by life’s challenges, might think, Should I just walk into the water?—a metaphor that suggests the series will tackle deeper, more existential themes.
